For 2 years, I immersed myself in the ed-tech space, studying how students learn and which tools were earning their attention. I prototyped new ways for students to engage with AI, translating our team's big ideas into clear product direction. As the company's only designer from seed to acquisition, I owned every screen and state of the product, working in lockstep with engineering. Below are the key challenges I worked through.
Onboarding
Delightful sign up flow that increased user retention.
Core IA
Organizing content into persistent class folders not only made navigation intuitive, but also gave our LLM the contextual grounding it needed to generate targeted outputs like practice exercises, unit summaries, and personalized study plans.
Core Learning Experience
Designed a flexible exercise card system capable of rendering five question types with dynamic AI-generated content, with an in-context question flow so students could get unstuck without leaving the exercise.

Helped students build strong study habits, by breaking big courses into structured, personalized study schedules they can actually stick to.
