Summary
2000
I was born in Sydney, Australia to Chinese immigrant parents. From a young age, they instilled in me the value of hard work.
2010-2018
When I was 10, I moved to Shanghai, China. Which is cool, except for when I lost my Aussie accent.
2018-2022
When I was 18, I moved to Pittsburgh, PA to study at Carnegie Mellon University. It was a hard but rewarding four years. I made lifelong friends, learned a lot about design, and even more about myself.
2022-2023
Upon graduation I moved to San Francisco to work as a Product Designer at Twitch.
After a year in SF, I moved to New York to join Sizzle as a Founding Designer. In college I took a class called Designing Experiences for Learning taught by Professor Stacie RohrBach. It opened my eyes to how much psychology sits underneath good education — motivation, habit, feedback loops. Designing for learning again felt like an exciting challenge.
At Sizzle I was the only designer. It pushed me to be more decisive, more articulate about my work, and think more intentionally about brand, learning how deeply it shapes the product experience.
2026-now
I left Sizzle after its acquisition by Campus, and today I’m looking for an exciting new adventure in London :~)
I found design through a love of building beautiful things for real people. I’m drawn to the process of turning messy problems into experiences that feel useful, joyful, and carefully considered.
Most recently, I was the founding designer at Sizzle AI, where we explored how AI could make learning feel more engaging and approachable for students. The experience taught me a lot but most importantly how to thrive in ambiguity where both the problem and solution are still being defined. Previously, I designed product experiences at Twitch and Intuit.
I studied Information Systems and Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University, where I was happiest working alongside kind people. And while it might sound like a nod to Figma, I’ve always believed the best things are built together.
